Wellness Panel Premium PLUS-Men

This comprehensive men’s wellness panel measures six biomarkers in the blood to help you understand your risk for several chronic conditions. Combined with the vascular screening results, this men’s wellness panel provides a deeper level of understanding regarding risk for chronic disease.

What this Men’s Wellness Panel Will Tell You

  • The men’s kidney function test measures how well your kidneys are functioning to filter waste from the body.
  • Men’s prostate cancer test: PSA testing has contributed to lowering the death rate from prostate cancer3, but PSA testing by itself is not an indication of cancer. Higher than expected PSA levels in the blood will most likely lead to your physician taking additional steps including a complete physical examination.
  • Men’s glucose level test (A1c) measures average glucose level over the previous 2-3 months, which is an indicator for diabetes risk.
  • Men’s C-Reactive protein blood test measures the level of C-reactive protein in the blood. Higher than normal CRP levels indicates possible inflammation in the body, which can be a marker for cardiovascular disease.
  • Men’s thyroid function test determines the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in your blood, indicating how well the thyroid is functioning.
  • Men’s testosterone level test will indicate the level in your blood, but testosterone levels in the blood can vary widely, even on the same day.

About The Conditions Included in the Men’s Wellness Panel

Men’s Wellness Panel Screening Details

  • Kidney function results will indicate the creatinine level in your blood as well as the eGFR (Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate), which is the rate that blood is passing through the kidneys.
  • The prostate cancer test measures the amount of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in the blood. Your prostate testing results will indicate if the PSA level in your blood is normal or abnormal for your age group, and will also indicate if you should see your personal physician about your PSA test results.
  • The A1c screening measures the average blood sugar level for the past two to three months.
  • The high-sensitivity C-reactive protein screening detects even small changes in the C-reactive protein levels in the blood. This is important when evaluating a person’s overall risk for developing cardiovascular disease.
  • Thyroid function screening measures TSH, which can indicate if your thyroid is producing too much TSH (Hyperthyroidism) or too little (Hypothyroidism).
  • Testosterone level testing is done with a simple finger-stick blood test. Testosterone levels in the blood can vary significantly, even on the same day, and testosterone production begins to decline in men around the age of 302.
